Te Runanga Matauranga o Tuhoe
In 1992 Ngai Tuhoe established Te Runanga Matauranga o Tuhoe. The Tuhoe Matauranga Trust has service contracts with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, WINZ, Te Kohanga Reo National Trust and Pacific Health. It also has a number of other smaller contracts with schools, Kohunga Reo, small organisations and families. One of the education initiatives set up was the Early Intervention Service for Maori children with disabilities.


Tomaiora maori Health Research Unit
Tomairoa Maori Health Research Unit was established at the begining of March 1998, with the assistance of an establishment grant from the Health Research Council of New Zealand. The unit is located within the Department of Maori and Pacific Health at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Auckland University. Tomaiora undertakes research projects which are relevant to the health and well-being of tamariki, rangatahi and their whanau.


Tui Ora
Tui Ora is an integrated health service organisation committed to enhancing health and wellbeing. Tui Ora evolved from a dedicated four year joint venture relationship between the Taranaki Iwi Health Forum - Te Whare Punanga Korero Trust and the former Midland Regional Health Authority.
With the emergence of Tui Ora and the majority of Maori Provider uniting under this umbrella there is greater synergy, to work co-operatively and to work "smarter" with all providers, in delivering integrated services to consumers.


Whariki
Whariki is a Maori health research group working in a process of partnership with the Alcohol & Public Health Research Unit at the University of Auckland. The name Whariki arose from a whakatauki which expresses part of the kaupapa of the group. Whariki are responsible for a number of projects as well as working with other Unit staff on a range of public health issues. Our Mission is to provide high quality research, to tautoko Maori communities and to further the development of a Maori health research workforce.
